I have 4 data sets and in 3 of them the effective allele is C, and strand is -. In one of them the effallele is G and strand +. This C/- should correspond to G/+, right? At least the effective allele frequency is about the same. So the betas should be comparable as they are? In the metABEL results, however, the effallele is C, strand is -, and the beta of the fourth data set has been flipped into -0.20 (it was 0.20 before the meta-analysis)...? Am I misunderstanding something, or is there a bug in the metABEL?
I'm using Version: 0.0-3, Date: 2008-09-21
(The example data can be created in R using the attached script. I also included the output there.)
Many thanks,
