RE: STACK question type [ Reply ]

I have only briefly looked at all the extension plugins for Moodle quizzes. So far there are no plans to interface these. Clearly, some of the extended question types would have nice applications. However, they would probably require rather Moodle-specific Rnw/Rmd exercises that couldn't be exported to other formats. Also, they would only run in Moodle servers with suitable plugins etc.

However, at the moment Niki is looking at some extended exercise types available in QTI 2.1 (drag & drop, matrix, matching, etc.). So once we have infrastructure for these, we might also look at exports to Moodle. Not sure if there is a correspondence to STACK in QTI, though.

So, in summary: Interesting topic - but no concrete plans.

This is more of a development direction question.

Are there any plans to include STACK moodle type questions in the future?

The advantage is that this allows for algorithmically equivalent solutions and also follow on marking.
The disadvantage is that I think it would require a lot of work as there are different variables in setting the questions and answers.
