In that case I would probably recommend that you set up your own LaTeX template which has \usepackage[table]{xcolor} instead of using {color} as in the current plain.tex.

In the development version of the package here on R-Forge I have just replace color with xcolor in all LaTeX templates, including plain.tex.

Hi,

actually I'am using \usepackage[table]{xcolor} such that I have the functionality specifically designed for coloring tables available.

Happy new year Sigbert

I can switch to the xcolor package when I'm back at a proper computer, that should be no problem.

But in the meantime you can also easily switch to some other color model (rgb or RGB) that is supported in color.sty. For the conversion you can use col2rgb in R.

Hi,

I encounter the error message "Undefined color model 'HTML'" when trying to compile one of my exercises. This error occurs because the "plain.tex" template includes the "color" package instead of "xcolor".

Best Sigbert
