OPI for Octopus900 - update [ Reply ]

[forum:7490]
Hi all users of the OPI for controlling the octopus,

1) The OPI www page exists: http://perimetry.org/opi . Please post help requests to the forum, not me directly. (I think you have to sign up for an r-forge account.) https://r-forge.r-project.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=3955&group_id=1237

2) Finally I now have the OPI and OPI-for-Octopus900 in R package format, allowing easy updates and installation. Those of you in the middle of testing patients (Stuart, Tony, Marco?) might not want to experiment with this just yet, but when you have a break you should install the new packages, rather than the kludge that I sent you originally. The OPI package is available for download from the www site, and the OPIOctopus900 package you have to get from me (via Iwan).

The documentation in the OPI package is also complete, and so acts as a user manual for the OPI, in addition to the "standard" document. (All on www page.)

3) My university is very scared that one of you will blow up a machine using the OPI and then sue me and my university. As such, I will probably have to ask you all to sign a license agreement in the near future. In the meantime, please don't blow up an Octopus. I should remind you that the OPI is under the GPL v3 license.

Thanks,

Andrew
