Hi David, I'm running JUICE 7.0.45. I had R v.2.15.xx installed and got thye same vegan error. I uninstalled R and reinstalled R version 2.13.0. I've changed the path to the new version of R and updated the libraries. Still the same error however. Any idea how to solve this? Thanks, Bart |

Hi Joachim, Thanks for your post. I guess the message from JUICE stating that vegan package is not installed properly is a bug from JUICE, which can't find the vegan library installed on your computer. Use the newest version of JUCIE, this may help. Anyway, ordination in JUICE are not supported in newer versions of R program - I decided not to support this function in JUICE any more, because the connection of JUICE and R in this way (via compiled libraries) proved to be very unstable. The latest version of R you can use is 2.13 - so if you still want to use this function, install this version, change the path to this program in JUICE (the path must go to Rgui.exe, not to R.exe!), update libraries and try it again. Hope this helps! Regards David |

Hi everybody, hope its ok to open a new threat on this issue since there is an older one treating a pretty similar problem. My problem is as follows: I want to run an ordination analysis on my vegetation data but when I try to start the analysis the program says that the vegan package is either installed incorrectly or is'nt working for other reasons, anyway, it doest work... I've already tried check for the vegan package in R ("library (vegan)), no error occured, so I assume its working though. I've set the R-project path in JUICE like ".../bin/i386/Rgui.exe" (there may be another option of setting the path. I could also choose .../x64/... instead of .../i356/... but this makes no difference to me). I've already tried everything I came up with but JUICE still makes no ordination at all :( I'm using JUICE 7.0 and R 2.15.1. In the older threat someone adviced to look for the juice2.out file, I've done this too and its not there. I would appreciate if someone can help me out! Thanks in advance and sincerely yours, Joachim |
