R-Forge and CRAN updated

Due to the Debian security issue DSA-1571-1 (see http://www.debian.org/security/2008/dsa-1571) we had to change our host keys.
The new RSA fingerprints are:
R-Forge: 3:df:fc:12:6a:9a:12:0c:d7:26:62:96:1a:59:1b:9f
CRAN: d2:95:96:43:6e:c0:3f:70:17:1f:4e:b1:eb:7c:9e:fe

Additionally we upgraded the storage as well as the GForge subsystem on R-Forge which caused a short downtime.

I hope everything is in place again.

Best regards,
R-Forge system update on 2008-05-16

DEAR R-FORGERS: PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY!

On Friday 2008-05-16 we are planning to update the R-Forge webserver. As we are
running a debian server we are also affected by the recent openssl
security issue (see http://www.debian.org/security/2008/dsa-1571). We
have to update all of our cryptographic key material including the SSH
host. This means for you
as a user of our service that there may occur warning messages like
----
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
@ WARNING: REMOTE HOST IDENTIFICATION HAS CHANGED! @
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
IT IS POSSIBLE THAT SOMEONE IS DOING SOMETHING NASTY!
Someone could be eavesdropping on you right now (man-in-the-middle attack)!
It is also possible that the RSA host key has just been changed.
----

You should update your known_hosts file or in case you use Windows confirm
the message stating that the host identitification has changed.

Furthermore, if you generated your private/public SSH key pair on a
debian system between 2006-09-17 and 2008-05-15 we
strongly recommend that you update your keys and upload a new public
key to your
R-Forge account. If you don't use this authentication method on
R-Forge or generated your key pair on an operating system other than
Debian you can safely ignore this step.

Please take into consideration that the server may be down for short
periods of time. We will also use this opportunity to update the
underlying GForge system.

If you have any further question, do not hesitate to contact us at
R-Forge@R-project.org.

Best regards,
R-Forge back online

Due to system migration R-Forge was not available on Monday and Tuesday this week. SSH host key authentication did not work yesterday but should work correctly now.

Improvements are made constantly this week, so please take into consideration that a few features are not available. SVN and the web platform should work properly.

Major changes:
- virtual machine setup using xen
- mailsystem migrated to postfix

Todo this week:
- migrating build and check processes
- mailing lists migration
- testing CRAN release system

Best regards,
Stefan
