Summary:
ssh on non-standard ports

Detailed description
I have a problem because I cannot access ssh through the regular port 22. I could access it though ports 23 or 443. I know some G-forge facilities address this problem by running a separate host that accepts ssh on any port and then redirects it, so as not to conflict with telnet and SSL on the main host. If the main host does not allow telnet (which is the case for many systems nowadays) then it is fairly straight forward to simply have ssh listen on port 23 as well as 22.

Could ssh on port 23 and/or 443 please be supported?

oops, IPTABLES did block the port from outside. I opened the corresponding port now.

Best,
Stefan

Are you sure this is working? I don't seem to be having any luck. As a simple test

ssh -p23 pgilbert@svn.r-forge.r-project.org
ssh: connect to host svn.r-forge.r-project.org port 23: Connection timed out

I don't expect to get on, since the account is for svn, but

ssh -p22 pgilbert@svn.r-forge.r-project.org
...
This is a restricted account.
You cannot execute anything here.
Goodbye.

Added support for ssh on port 23.
