I changed the raster and raster stack classes. They now inherit from "Spatial" from the sp package. This is to better align our work with sp.
I have removed these slots: ncells, xres, yres
they are now available (and calculated) via getter functions: raster.ncells(object), raster.xres, and raster.yres
